Teaching and Learning

Our program embraces student-centered and constructivist education model to train and educate teachers with necessary qualifications. As a need to the adopted model and with the support of technological opportunities provided by our University, our students will be provided with learning environments in which active learning techniques and methods are used.

If students in the English Language Education Program meet the necessary conditions set by the university, they can enroll in minor and double major programs in different departments within the Faculty of Education. Within this scope, a student studying in the English Language Education Program, if accepted, can complete certain courses from the Early Childhood Education, Mathematics Education, Primary Education, and Guidance and Psychological Counseling programs to pursue a double major or a minor.

The variety of courses offered in TED University English Language Education Program will give our students the chance to discover interdisciplinary approach and thus diversify or enhance their goals. Moreover, to strengthen its mission of teacher training, our program will prepare teachers not only for national but also for international purposes.

Our students have opportunities to participate in the ERASMUS program at universities with which we have agreements in many European countries. Our Faculty's International Cooperation Commission continues to work intensively to increase the number of collaborations and provide our students with more international experience.

As a result, English Language Education Program will put teachers into service, who can manage life-learning learning processes, use communication and information technologies for his/her own professional and self-development, can analyze needs and problems of educational system and provide solutions, are aware of the necessity of science, philosophy, art and education for personal development of children and young people, can utilize the educational techniques and methods, can take place  in studies about foreign language learning, are innovative, creative, productive and in cooperation with other disciplines.
