TED Bursa College - English Teacher
The most important factor for me to choose TED University was that the Turkish Education Association, which was born with the leadership of Great Leader Ataturk, has been continuing its activities in the field of education for many years. The fact that the Turkish Education Association is establishing schools providing education in Turkish and foreign languages all over the country, and simultaneously TED University educate teachers who can actively use English language was another factor that made a difference in my preferences.
One of the most important factors of my undergraduate life was the fact that TED University ELT faculty members provided individual and academic support to teacher candidates not only with in-class feedback. For example, I had the chance to work as student assistant in an academic research environment as part of TEDU Scientific Research Projects provided by my university in a project led by Dr. Zeynep Bilki our lovely faculty member in English Language Teaching Department. In this way, I had the opportunity to obtain advanced information about my profession which is teaching English before my undergraduate life is end.
TED University showed me not only how to improve my teaching skills, but also how a society that I am part of it can be improved especially in the field of education, thanks to the Global Citizenship secondary field program. I also feel very lucky to be part of the "TED Ambassadors Project", which was adapted between TED Headquarters and TEDU Foreign Language Education Department to add value to English Language Teacher candidates' school experience. I am very excited that I will continue as an English Teacher at TED Bursa College, which has enabled me to get positive ideas about the choice of TED Schools with this project.
