Full Support to TED Full Support Scholarship Project!

On October 19, 2019, the 2019-2020 academic year for the Full Support Project, which has been carried out by the Turkish Education Association for three years, began. This project is coordinated by the Department of English Language Teaching, and it aims to teach English, Arts, Sports, and Music to the 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students both at TED University and TED Ankara College. The 3rd and 4th-year students give lectures with the instructors of the English Language School, and 2nd-year students get prepared for the next year. The project, carried out by a team consisting of volunteers, aims to increase the English proficiency of high school students and at the same time, provides the prospective teachers' professional development by giving them the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom.
The project shapes the English language curriculum around the issues that are among the sustainable development goals of the United Nations such as gender equality and quality education. In addition, the English education it offers to successful but financially disadvantaged highschool students contributes to the elimination of inequalities. With these aspects, the project helps to realize the United Nations' mission of "peace and prosperity for all people".
