We Hosted Finnish Embassy Officers!

Tarih:  Date

With 24 sophomore students, this semester, we have been conducting ELEP 251 “World Englishes and Cultures” course. Every week we are searching and learning about unique features of different countries. Up to now, we have had new perspectives about 12 countries, and Finland was one of them. As we know how Finnish educators are successful in teaching English, we wanted to welcome Finnish natives to learn about the details. To this end, we got in contact with Finnish embassy officers and invited them to our school. Second Secretary Timo Sysiö and intern Tia-Maria accepted our offer with great modesty and participated in our class on 13th March. Fortunately, just before the mandatory break, we had a chance to host our guests and learn about many different features of Finland, including the language education system. Welcoming those sincere people in our class was a great honor for us and an invaluable experience for our students.
