Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike Ünal Gezer has contributed to the edited volume entitled World Englishes and Culture in English as a Foreign Language Education with her book chapter entitled An Examination of Cultural Elements in Literary Works, Movies, TV Programs and Advertisements.

Res. Assist. Mehmet Sak's Article was Published!

 

TEDU ELE Department Research Assistant Mehmet SAK’s single-authored article entitled “The Role of Ideal L2 Self in Predicting L2 Willingness to Communicate Inside and Outside the Classroom” has been published in the latest volume of Eurasian Journal of Applied Linguistics, an ESCI-indexed journal. The article of Mehmet SAK also meets the criteria for TEDU publication awards. Click here to read the article. 

A Meeting to Welcome First-Year Students!

 

On September 30, 2020, we organized an online welcome meeting to our new coming first-year students. The students had the chance not only to know each other but also meet the academic staff who will be offering lecturers to them.

Admission of the First Students to the Master's Program in English Language Teaching!

 

In the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, 26 candidates applied for Master of Arts Program in English Language Education with/without Thesis which we will start for the first time, and written and oral exams were held and the first students were accepted to the program.

We were at "The Gift of Creativity" Conference!

 

Our faculty members, Department of English Language Education, Dr. Pelin Irgin and Dr. Sinem Sonsaat attended the conference on English Language Teaching titled "The Gift of Creativity" held at TED Atakent College and organized in collaboration with TED schools and IATEFL, along with 5 students from the English Language Teaching Program. While our teachers were making presentations at the conference, they had the chance to attend the presentations of many English teachers working at TED schools and meet them.
