Prof. Dr. Dr. Belgin Aydın, the Head of TEDÜ Department of English Language Teaching, met the teachers of Mimar Kemal Elementary School on 11 December 2019 and organized a workshop on “Effective Communication: Needs-Oriented Approach Model”. In the workshop, Aydın talked about the importance of effective communication with students for effective teaching and shared examples of the problems that school teachers have experienced and how to approach them to solve these problems with practical examples.

Prof. Dr. Belgin Aydın, the head of Department of English Language Teaching, presented the paper titled “English Teacher Training Process: Problems of Teachers and Prospective Teachers and Solution Suggestions” at the 3^rd International Teacher Education and Accreditation Congress.

TED University English Language Teaching Department hosted 11th grade students from İncesu Şehit Sadettin Demir Anatolian High School. Students received information about various departments, especially English Language Teaching. At the same time, the students gained awareness about International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

As part of "Baskent Teacher Workshops" organized by Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education, Dr. Zeynep Bilki delivered seminars on "Critical and Creative Thinking" to the teachers of two secondary schools located in Ankara - Mimar Sinan Secondary School and Ziraat Muhendisleri Secondary School, .

partnership with Zurich Foundation, the Turkish Education Association and the Ministry of National Education; Prof. Dr. Belgin AYDIN participated in the training activities held on 21 November 2019 in İzmir. The project aims to improve the quality of education by providing training to support the professional, personal and psychosocial development of female teachers assigned to villages or districts during the first years of their profession. The project, which started in 2018 with 50 teachers, aims to reach 1,000 female teachers by 2023.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike Ünal Gezer attended 19th INGED International ELT Conference held in Nov 14-16 2019 at Atılım University. Dr. Ünal Gezer's paper presentation was on Content-Based Language Instruction with Young Learners of English in Turkey. 

9th, 10th and 11th grade high school students who study in various schools in Ankara and benefit from the Full Support Scholarship given by the Turkish Education Association, continue to learn English on subjects that aim to raise social awareness. They organized an event to raise awareness about Children’s Leukemia Week, 2nd – 8th of November, and they wrote a message on the masks with various pictures and their names. The students, who gave the message of an inclusive society for all with their masks, wanted to share their support with children with Leukemia.
