Dr. Pelin İrgin was at TUBITAK 2223-D WoLeP!

 

Dr. Pelin Irgin participated to TUBITAK 2223-D project titled as “Workshop on the 21st Century Learner Profile in English Language Teaching”(WoLeP in ELT) organized by Bartin University, University of Nottingham and Aston University in 18th and 19th of October, 2019 in Amasra, Bartin,Turkey.

 The key topics covered in the workshop were:

- Building a knowledge base for teaching 21st century skills in EFL settings: Self-Assessment,

- Understanding Contemporary Adolescents from Developmental Perspective,

An Elementary School Visit in the Scope of TEYL Course!

 

In the scope of the course Teaching English to Young Learners given by Prof. Dr. Belgin Aydın and assisted by RA Ebru Boynueğri, juniors visited Bahçelievler Nebahat Keskin Primary School. At the beginning of their visit, they met the school administrators and English Language teachers and got acquaintance with the school. Then the juniors presented their posters they prepared on classroom rules and routines and multiple intelligence and donated them as a gift to the School. 

Res. Assist. Mehmet Sak's Article was Published!

 

The article of Res. Asst. Mehmet SAK, one of the research assistants of the Department of English Language Education, entitled “Contextual Factors that Enhance and Impair Directed Motivational Currents in Instructed L2 Classroom Settings” has been published in the latest volume of the journal Novitas-ROYAL (Research on Youth and Language), which has been making publications on language learning/teaching for 13 years. Res. Assist. Ayşe Gül Özay was at MELT Conference!

 

Ayşe Gül Özay, one of the research assistants of the Department of Foreign Language Education, presented her paper titled "The Acquisition of Any-Type English Negative Polarity Item by Turkish L2 Learners Of English" at Marmara University English Language Teaching International Conference (MELT 19).

 

 

 

TEDU ELE Welcome Dinner for Fall Semester!

 

In the 2019-2020 academic year, TED Department of English Language Education organized a welcome dinner and met the new part-time faculty members.

TED Headquarters Foreign Languages Department was at TEDU Faculty of Education!

 

A joint meeting was held by the Foreign Languages Department of TED Headquarters and TED University ELT faculty members for ELT students on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. During the meeting, the prospective teachers' education during their university education and the opportunities offered by the university were introduced.
