Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Bilki’s co-authored article, entitled “Voluntary use of automated writing evaluation by content course students”, has been published in an international peer-reviewed journal “ ReCALL”. Click here to read the article. 

Our Graduates & Prospective Teachers Meeting was Held!

 

Our graduates from the Department of English Language Teaching, Aybüke Aksoy and Kamuran Güngör, met with the department students on Wednesday, January 13th. They shared their post-graduation experiences and the processes they went through prior to starting their jobs with the prospective graduate students of the department, who also had the opportunity to get informed about possible career paths.

TEDU English Language Education and University of Missouri Kansas City Meeting!

 

Following the partnership agreement between TED University and University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC), faculty members in English Language Education program at TEDU and faculty members at Applied Language Institute and TESOL program at UMKC had a meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. In this first meeting, after a quick introductory presentation of two institutions and programs, faculty members discussed possible partnership opportunities for the following semesters.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Irgin’s Article has been Published!

 

One of the faculty members at the Department of English Language Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Irgin’s article with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Oz, entitled “EFL learners’ locus of control and translation achievement”, has been published in the latest volume of “ELT Research Journal”. Dr. Irgin’s article also meets the criteria for TED University Academic Publication Awards.

Having successfully graduated from our department in the past years, they will inform our prospective graduates about the post-graduation processes and talk about their own experiences in the career day event. All our students are invited to the event, which will be held on Wednesday, January 13, between 19.00-20.00. The participation link will be shared via e-mail.
